Gut Instincts

Showing off her signature style, paper artist Harriet Noble was commissioned by The Observer Magazine to illustrate a cover and accompanying feature on gut health, and how unravelling the mysteries of the digestive system could revolutionise our health.

With scientists only just discovering the enormous significance of our ‘gut microbiome’, journalist Rebecca Seal revealed how unlocking it could hold the key to everything from tackling obesity to overcoming anxiety and boosting immunity.

It begs the question of how informed we really are about our bodies? With beautiful paper art forms intricately cut out, Harriet visualises what it really looks like to eat well and be well.
